#LifeSkillsNow Mini-Series: Parenting Toolbox #1

Raise Confident, Strong Kids Without the Constant Conflict

12 short workshops from 12 parenting experts. This one’s for you, not the kids.

You’ve Read the Parenting Advice, but Bedtime Is Still a Negotiation.

You’re a good parent having a hard week. Sometimes a hard month!

Between the meltdowns, the back talk, the “I don’t wanna,” and the standoff over one single sock that “feels funny on my toes,” some days parenting feels like a job you got hired for with zero training.

You’ve tried the sticker chart.

You’ve tried counting to three.

You’ve tried being nicer, and then you’ve tried being firmer.

What helps is having more than one tool to reach for. This #LifeSkillsNow Mini-Series gives you a dozen of them, each one tested by a different parenting expert and simple enough to try tonight.

The Parenting Toolbox is twelve short workshops from parenting experts, and one clear action step from each.

There are plenty of opportunities for conflict while we homeschool, and my default is to quickly react and respond. I’m going to try to take a moment to pause… knowing so many of these things helped her kids deal with conflicts gives me hope for my kids and myself!

Why the Parenting Toolbox?

Most of our #LifeSkillsNow Mini-Series teach your kids. This one empowers the parents.

  • Short, expert-led videos you can watch at nap time or listen to in the pickup line
  • Taught by trusted voices like Amy McCready, Lenore Skenazy, Tosha Schore, and Pam Barnhill
  • One real-life action step from every single session, so you’re never left with “great, now what?”
  • A one-time purchase with no subscription, and it’s yours to keep with no expiration

These are twelve experts you’d otherwise track down across a dozen different books.

My wife had me watch this one and was surprised at how much it resonated with me. I can be very stressed and snappy with my kids. This was very helpful, and hopefully I can apply it to my day-to-day.

Tools You Can Use Before Dinner Tonight

Most parenting articles tell you what to do and skips the practical steps to implement the advice.

These workshops go the other way. Each expert hands you something concrete to try right away:

  • Calm big emotions, theirs and yours, before anybody boils over
  • Turn a power struggle into easy cooperation
  • Lead a strong-willed kid without crushing them
  • Set screen limits that hold up on a Thursday evening
  • Stop hitting, kicking, and biting without a single punishment
  • Ask the questions that get your kid solving their own problem
  • Give your kids more independence (and hand yourself back some breathing room)

Mostly, you walk away knowing what to do the next time a tricky situation comes up.

What does a workshop feel like?

1. Watch a Short Video
Each workshop runs 7 to 40 minutes. Most are under 30. You can also just listen if if you want to absorb the information while you’re driving.

2. Optional: Print the Handout
Every workshop comes with a printable to follow along or keep on the fridge for quick reference.

3. Try the Action Step in Real Life
Each workshop ends with one specific thing to go do, so the advice doesn’t stay theoretical.

With the #LifeSkillsNow Parenting Toolbox, you get the training nobody gave you when those kids were born.
