I Pledge to Lift Up the Young Generation!

I’m Katie Kimball, mom of 4, former teacher, and I’ve been connecting families around healthy living since 2009. My oldest is engaged and my youngest is 11, so I’ve lived the whole range of “my kid needs to know how to do this before they leave.”

Katie Kimball

I’m a mom on a mission—I don’t like hearing stories of unmotivated young adults waiting for success and money to be handed to them. That’s why I created #LifeSkillsNow five years ago, and over 115,000 families have said, “Yes, Katie, I’m with you! Our young people need real life skills!”

#LifeSkillsNow helps families raise independent future adults who will contribute powerfully to their communities!

My Promise to You

I bring together the best experts, curate the most engaging topics, and handle the noise so you don’t have to. No one can take the love of learning away from your kids. And they’ll always have roots in their family, because you learned together.

#LifeSkillsNow is the answer to prepare your kids for the future, whatever that future may bring.

Why Not Just Use YouTube?

That’s a fair question. YouTube is free. AI can answer anything. TikTok has a hack for everything.

So why would you pay for #LifeSkillsNow?

Answer:

And you’ll find skills here you’d never think to search for:

  • the real cost of driving
  • how kids can take the lead in an emergency
  • what it’s like to be gifted and distractible
  • what to do when you can’t fall asleep
  • how compound interest works for kids
  • how to have a difficult conversation

You can’t find all that on YouTube. And you don’t have to try! We already did it for you (got your back!).

Your Kids Will Learn From:

  • #1 New York Times bestselling author Hunter Clarke-Fields
  • A Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling financial expert
  • A Danish parenting expert published in 35 countries
  • Etiquette experts featured on The Today Show, The View, Forbes, and Martha Stewart
  • A Shark Tank family teaching emergency skills
  • A 19-year-old teen leadership founder
  • A chef with 200+ food allergies who was given 30 days to live
#LifeSkillsNow Season Five teachers

Plus Katie Kimball and her kids (two-time TEDx speaker, Wall Street Journal recommended), Joey Mascio (teen confidence coach and former Disneyland character actor), Rachel Nielson (host of 3 in 30 Podcast, 10 million+ downloads), and dozens more.

What Makes Season Five Special?

  • It’s etiquette year. Chivalry, moving gracefully, setting the table, and a 3-part series filmed in a real suit shop so your young gentlemen know how to look sharp.
  • Teens step into the kitchen. Burgers and fries with homemade whole wheat buns, plus The Allergy Chef teaches teens how to actually cook, not just follow recipes.
  • More youth experts than ever. Campers LOVE seeing other kids on screen. This season delivers!
  • Huge gardening track for the first time ever! Two full series on both vegetables and flowers, from planting to putting the garden to bed.
  • Hands-on with real tools. Sewing, hemming (taught by a young person!), crochet, building a campfire, and basic power tools.
  • Unexpected health and wellness. Gratitude as a skill. Brain health through movement. Rest that isn’t sleep. Self-soothing from a #1 NYT bestselling author.
  • More basic chores to build. Vacuuming, glass cleaning, taking out the trash, and avoiding slimy science experiments in the fridge. You need someone else to get your kids excited about these tasks, believe me!
  • Leadership track for the first time ever. Bravery, life goals, servant leadership, emergency response, and confidence for littles and bigs.

How Life Changes After #LifeSkillsNow

Imagine your daughter walking into the kitchen, pulling out ingredients, and making the family a real dinner. Not because you told her to, but because she watched a video with a chef talking right to young people and decided she could.

Imagine your son tying a tie before his first school dance, adjusting it in the mirror, and matching his shoes to his belt without having to ask you or Google. Because he got to spend serious time with Nate from Jos. A. Bank, he cares about how he looks (and you didn’t have to drive him to a suit shop).

Imagine your teens having an actual conversation about compound interest at the dinner table. You didn’t assign it as a homeschool topic, but rather a Wall Street Journal bestselling author made it make sense to them in 15 minutes.

Imagine your 6-year-old proudly vacuuming the living room. Not perfectly, but willingly, because 14-year-old John Kimball made it look fun on a video, and now it’s “his job” and he won’t let you touch his vacuum!

That’s #LifeSkillsNow. Watch a video. Try the skill. Surprise everyone (including yourself).

What does a workshop feel like?

1. Watch a Short Video

Each workshop is 5-30 minutes. Short on purpose, because your life is busy!

Think Sensory Smart Systems to Make Your House Run Smoother A Family Workshop from Greg Santucci workshop preview

2. Optional: Print a Page to Follow Along

Recipes, checklists, reflection questions. Keeps hands engaged during screen time and gives kids something to reference later.

Think Sensory Smart Systems to Make Your House Run Smoother A Family Workshop from Greg Santucci handout pages

3. Do the Mission in the Real World

Every workshop ends with a concrete action step. Cook the meal. Clean the mirrors. Start the conversation. Hem the pants. This is where the learning sticks.

Preview Workshop Mission: identify a sticky area in your house. Come up with two to three solutions. Make a plan to implement one of them.

4. Be Amazed at the Confidence Your Kids Will Gain

“My daughter found camp so empowering! She asked me to measure her when she woke up the second morning. She felt like she was 10 feet tall!”

I loved the variety of videos and missions! My boys chose some that were different from what I thought they would enjoy. This is a nice ‘relaxed’ way for them to continue to learn and hopefully find some interests that they didn’t know they had!

Having a third party who aligns with our parenting speak into our children’s lives is so important!

I felt safe letting the kids watch even if I had to take care of the toddler or run out to the garden. I rarely do that with anything online.

Kellie Hatman

This camp was the perfect way to get in some valuable lessons, useful in real life. My homeschoolers had so much fun and kept coming to me with ‘Wow! That is really helpful to know.’

I was skeptical at first that an online camp would be a good experience so we started with the free version last year. My kids wanted to do so many of the videos that it was a whirlwind week.

I didn’t hesitate this year in purchasing the All Access so we could have the leisure of the whole summer to explore the skills they wanted to learn.

Katie brings so many excellent resources together in one place and because the videos span the whole age range I know this is an excellent investment as these videos can be used year after year as my kids grow. The conversations it started, the confidence it is building and the time spent together learning is priceless.

Bonus #2: Downloadable Videos

You can put the videos on a flash drive or hard drive for offline use (productive road trip, anyone?) and experience all the workshops even if you have terrible Internet.

What Real Families Say

Got Questions? Katie Has Answers.

When will I get access?

Right away! There are a total of 107 #LifeSkillsNow Season Five workshops (95+ free camp workshops plus 12 exclusive bonuses) and purchasers can access them immediately (as they are loaded in before camp). Access will never expire.

Is it appropriate for little ones (age 2-6)?

We don’t really want our tiniest children on screens, BUT working with a parent can make #LifeSkillsNow accessible even to preschooler. We have plenty of workshops for kids ages 5+ including cooking (bonding time with a parent!), chores, gardening, and emotional skills. Taking Out the Trash is literally designed for the littlest helpers!

Here’s how one mom of littles described it last year: “My kids are young so I wasn’t sure how much they would get out of it, but they took to it like fish to water. They woke up each morning thrilled to watch the campfire circle, and decide what classes they wanted to do. My oldest (6yrs) even asked to use my phone and show some of the videos to her friends. The speakers were excellent, the missions were very accessible even to a family of many littles. I would (and have) highly recommend this to any parent.”

What do you offer for kids ages 6-12?

At least 50 workshops are great for that age group, plenty to keep your kids busy! Focus for elementary kids is particularly on cooking, gardening, chores, hands-on skills, communication, and health.

Great news: the workshops geared for older kids will be perfect for yours someday too. When you buy the package, put a note in your calendar for a few years down the road and pull it back out. That’s the beauty of owning it!

Will my teens really be into this?

This year has more teen-specific content than any previous season. Financial literacy (credit scores, car buying, home buying, compound interest), AI safety, difficult conversations, entrepreneurship (from a Wall Street Journal bestselling author), a 3-part suit series filmed at Jos. A. Bank, a teen panel on digital distractions and so.much.more!

Past seasons: “My teens who normally roll their eyes at me actually watched these and were asking to watch more.”

All workshops are labeled with an age group “and up” so no one feels too old to learn, including some of us adults!

What does a workshop feel like?

Each camp leader has their own style, but everyone speaks directly to kids and teens in a pre-recorded, edited video, teaches their skill practically, and delivers a “mission” at the end. The mission is a concrete action step that can be accomplished in 5-15 minutes.

One camper reported: “I really appreciate as a busy mom, that the videos were edited to be concise. I felt like none of my time was wasted.”

The workshop pages include the video, a printable handout, a mission, and the teacher’s bio. No ads, no interaction with strangers, no distracting “play next” features.

Why not just use YouTube?

YouTube has ads, algorithms, and rabbit holes. #LifeSkillsNow has zero ads, a private dashboard, and videos that end with a real-world action step instead of “up next.” Plus you’ll find skills here you’d never think to search for, all vetted and curated. We did the hard part for you.

What’s different about Season Five compared to previous seasons?

Almost everything, except our purpose! We have 107 workshops in Season Five and no repeats from previous seasons. You’ll see some returning favorites with 100% new material, plus plenty of Mrs. Kimball and her kids. New this year: a massive gardening track (first ever), a leadership track (first ever), a 3-part gentlemen’s etiquette series, and more kids and teens teaching than ever before.

Would this work with a group of kids?

YES! Large families, neighborhood gatherings, homeschool co-ops, and daycare centers have all enjoyed #LifeSkillsNow workshops.

How much time will it take to complete Season Five?

Depends on your child’s age and how they tackle their missions. All videos are 5-30 minutes. If your kid watches the tourniquet workshop, they could be finished in 15 minutes but might practice on stuffed animals for a week. If they dive into the 4-part vegetable gardening series, that’s a whole-summer project (plus the bonus workshop ONLY for paid customers!). This resource has no limits, just like your children’s potential.

Can I download the workshop videos?

Yes! Downloading is great for travel (more productive than a movie on a long drive) or if you have poor Internet or simply don’t want your kids online. You can also download all handouts as one PDF workbook + answer keys. Paid only feature.

How long will we have access?

No expiration! PLUS you can download everything to keep on your device no matter what.

Can I share my login with friends?

No, but you can share your login with all your children for their own devices, AND you’re welcome to invite friends over to take the workshops together. You also have the option of creating child accounts so each kid tracks their own progress.

Are the videos accessible (captioned and transcribed)?

Yes! All workshop videos have closed captioning. Written summaries are provided for workshops where it makes sense (mostly teen and parent content that doesn’t require visuals).

Does purchasing this season mean I get all future seasons too?

When you purchase Season Five, you keep access forever with no additional fees. Each season contains completely different workshops from mostly different teachers, so purchasing one doesn’t include past or future seasons.

What’s the refund policy?

Try out the workshops, watch your kids implement a few missions, see what you think — and if you don’t love it, let us know by June 30th and we’ll give you a full refund. You’ll have unlimited access to all the content, so even if you use every piece and still ask for a refund, we’d give it to you because we believe in this collection of workshops that much.

Still have questions?

I love LifeSkillsNow, written on a piece of paper by a kid during summer camp last year

“This season has been even more life changing than last year. They were excited every day at pickup to go home for Summer Camp! Everything was sooo interesting that the extended package was very enticing! Please don’t ever stop curating and perfecting the
#LifeSkillsNow Camp!!!!”
