Raising Healthy Families is a mission-driven organization dedicated to equipping families with practical, real-life skills that help kids thrive at home and in the real world. Since 2016, founder Katie Kimball has been supporting families through engaging, research-informed education that builds independence, confidence, and lifelong healthy habits.

- #LifeSkillsNow (Virtual Workshops & Summer Camp)
A large-scale, engaging online program for kids and teens that teaches real-world skills like cooking, money management, entrepreneurship, organization, and communication through expert-led workshops. - Kids Cook Real Food (Cooking Course)
Step-by-step cooking education that teaches children age 2-12 over 30 essential kitchen skills through video lessons, recipes, and adult engagement. Available via flash drive, VIP lifetime access, 12 months all 3 levels, 12 months at one level or Kids Cook Solo, 12 months of child-driven lessons for ages 8+. - Teens Cook Real Food (Cooking Course)
Video lessons for youth age 13-21 teaching over 70 cooking skills and techniques, 35 recipes, and 12 Kitchen Science Bites. Lessons are filmed with 8 real teens and some with a professional chef. - #LifeSkillsNow Mini-Series
Targeted, bite-sized workshop bundles focused on specific life skills such as chores, celebrations, and independence, designed for flexible learning. The video workshops are pulled from our larger #LifeSkillsNow seasons and re-packaged for age or theme targeting. - Kids Cook Real Food Thematic Skilllabs
Smaller sets of videos tackling snacks, breakfasts, or Instant Pot and slow cooker meals. Designed to be used after taking Kids Cook Real Food or independently. Videos are NOT part of the main KCRF course.
Raising Healthy Families’ programs are designed to complement educational models by supporting the whole child, building executive function, life readiness, and family engagement.

California doesn’t offer any state-wide ESA programs, but we work with many California charter schools to provide our courses to students and their families!
