The Parenting Toolbox is a program developed by Family Health and Eating Lab at the Pennsylvania State University. We are a college-wide center made up of nutritionists, child development specialists, researchers, and educators with expertise in parenting infants and toddlers. We are dedicated to promoting healthy growth and development in children, beginning in the first years of life when parenting can make such a big impact on a child’s development. In partnership with The Women, Infants, and Children’s Program (WIC), Head Start, and other community organizations, we offer parents and preschool-aged children tools such as educational programs, written materials, and personal education sessions. In addition to using evidence based research, our community partners, including mothers just like you, have helped us develop our parenting materials and informed how that information is shared. We listened and used their feedback to develop effective programs that are easily accessible to busy moms.
